Join Zoë for this workshop which forms part of her VA Residency for 2019 as she encourages us to observe nature..
Meeting at the gallery in Siamsa Tíre, we will take a walk together to the beautiful Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre where we will observe nature closely and do some drawing from life of some of the details that appeal to us. We will take the time to slow down and do some simple activities to increase our connection to the natural surroundings.
We will also carefully collect some natural objects and bring them back to the gallery where, after tea and cake, we will experiment with mark-making using our foraged art materials. There will be a chance to take part in the activities in the gallery as well – adding your ideas in words and pictures as to how we can connect with nature and live more sustainably in the face of climate change.
This workshop is free to attend but places are limited so please book through the box office on 066) 7123055. Please bring with you a small sketch pad (for example A4 size), and suitable clothes and shoes for the weather.
This event is suitable for adults only and is of three hours duration.
