SIAMSA TÍRE’S AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
Launched in 2007, Siamsa Tíre’s Find Out More Initiative continues throughout 2010 with a host of opportunities to do exactly that – Find Out More!
We want to see more of you more often. So we thought we’d give you something extra…. Have you ever left a performance or concert and wished you could have found out more about the performers, asked them questions, or just talked to other members of the audience about their take on the show? Well here’s your chance. Siamsa Tíre’s Find Out More initiative helps you to do exactly that – meet the actors, the musicians, ask them questions; talk to the directors, the dancers, or even hone up your own performance skills.
Pre-show and post show talks, as well as workshops and masterclasses form part of this development. Wherever you see the Find Out More logo in our Event Guide, you’ll know we’ve added something special, and we do hope we’ll see more of you, more often!

24th September 6.30-8pm - Meet the Artist
Meet artist Roisin McGuigan and talk to her about her work and the influences that Paul Henry has had on her and her current body of work.
4th to 7th October - Schools' Dance Workshops
Schools Dance workshops with Retina Dance. A chance to explore dance with Retina Dance Company. Workshops are exclusive to schools. For more information, contact Catríona Fallon on 066 7123055.
4th October 7pm - Artist's Talk
Roisin McGuigan discusses her current exhibition in Siamsa Tíre and what motivates here as a Visual Artist.
23rd October - Meet the Cast
An opportunity to meet the cast of Druid Theatre Company after the performance of The Silver Tassie
10th November - Meet the Cast
An opportunity to meet the cast of THE HOTHOUSE after the performance
11th November 5-6pm Guitar workshop with Dermot Byrne.
Join Dermot for a workshop in playing Guitar. A good degree of proficiency in Guitar is necessary. €10
12-13th November - Get Juggling!
Always wanted to learn how to juggle? Then Tralee Circus Festival is for you. Juggling starts on Friday night at 9pm and goes on until the small hours. Contact the Fanzini Brothers on 087) 9978146.
20th November 7pm - Tea with Caitriona
Join Caitriona O’Leary from Dúlra for a cup of complimentary tea or coffee before the performance.
13th-18th December - Clowning Around
Roll up your sleeves, strap on a red nose and become your very own clown. Veronica Coburn provides you with an opportunity to become a clown and take part in a performance. See page 38 for more details.
