This is a sumptuous feast of new work by multimedia artist, Lisa Fingleton including drawings, found objects, documentary and immersive installations.
“In these times when geography becomes virtual and developers urbanize the earth, May the farmer continue to hold true ground keeping the intimate knowing of the clay alive”
John O Donoghue ‘For the Farmer’
Working with local growers, the artist cultivates deep-rooted connections between art and farming. Ideas and seeds are germinated, fertilized, pruned and nurtured before harvesting.
Fingleton revels in the random, dynamic intersection between humans and nature and is unafraid to challenge perceived natural orders.
The artist lives and works on a small farm in North Kerry.
Opening at 6pm on Friday 30th October, the Eve of Samhain (The End of Harvest,) with artist, Aideen Barry. Everyone is welcome.
Supported by Siamsa Tíre, Create, The Arts Council, Kerry County Council Arts Office and Leader.
