Living in a shed at the bottom of his garden and refusing to leave it even as his wife is being waked in the house, Jim seems to be a man in the grip of a breakdown. Krakow, though, is also a love story and a study of loss that proves there is nothing so funny as tragedy.

Peter Sirr is an award-winning poet who has published ten collections with Gallery Press. RTE has broadcast his plays Oblivion and Radio Carla. Krakow is his first stage play.
