Hot on the heels of widespread critical acclaim with DruidMurphy in 2012, Druid comes to Siamsa Tíre with this rare opportunity to see two remarkable plays by Tom Murphy. See them individually or see both together with a special combination ticket offer. Hailed as “riveting” by The Irish Times with the Daily Telegraph saying “attendance should be obligatory”.
DruidMurphy: Conversations on a Homecoming
Set in County Galway in the 1970s, conversations unfold in The White House pub when old friends reunite with Michael, recently returned from New York after a ten-year absence. He was the one who got away to live the dream and now he’s back.
DruidMurphy has already been a sell-out success on tour and is guaranteed to be a hot ticket this season. An ensemble of 10 actors will perform across both plays. Early booking strongly advised.
DruidMurphy is presented as part of an Irish tour of the NASC network of regional theatres and is supported by an Arts Council touring grant.
“As always with this remarkable company, the acting is of a quality to leave you dumbstruck with admiration.”  The New York Times

“Murphy is, I suspect, the greatest dramatist writing in English.”
